We at Atlantica Hotels & Resorts are committed to keeping your personal information safe. Our secure server software (SSL) is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

Why do we require a credit card for Internet reservations?

By securing your online reservation with a credit card, you are eligible for our Reservations Guarantee. If your reservation cannot be honored, the host hotel will provide a room at, and transportation to, another convenient and comparable hotel, and pay for telephone calls to notify family of the lodging change. The host hotel will also pay the full cost of the first night's lodging rate, plus tax. Any advance deposit will be refunded.

SSL is a worldwide internet standard that offers encrypted SSL communication 128bit. In order to recognize an encrypted SSL transaction, you will notice on the browser a small yellow locket and will then be linked to a https:// page. Your pc will send its request via encrypted SSL to the banks server. The server sends back to your pc the security certificate, the confirmation that you have visited the correct page and your public key. To continue, your pc uses the public key to encrypt confidential information (e.g. your card number) and sends it to the bank’s server which uses your public key for decryption.

Browser Security Requirements

Dear Customer,

Please be informed that due to Credit Card Industry requirements the SSL certificate for JCCGateway and JCCSmart will be upgraded with stronger encryption.

The reason for the upgrade is to offer more secure credit card transactions through the internet.

By applying the above requirement, cardholders that use an old browser will not be able to connect to the gateway and process ecommerce transactions.
The upgrade will be performed on the 31/05/10!

We value your privacy and the security of your credit card transactions on www.atlanticahotels.com. Therefore, the browser security requirements recommended by the credit card industry have been implemented at our processor’s checkout page:

  • SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Version 3.0
  • 128-bit encryption
