5 Simple Tips for a Greener Stay
This year's World Tourism Day shines a spotlight on Tourism & Sustainable Transformation and at Atlantica Hotels & Resorts, we believe every guest can play a part. The good news? You can enjoy every moment of your holiday while making choices that are kinder to the planet. Here are five easy tips to make your stay a little greener.
1. COOL FOR YOU, NOT THE OUTDOORS
We all love stepping into a cool room after a sunny day. Just keep that comfort inside by closing doors and windows when the air conditioning is on. And if you set it to 23-24°C, you'll find it's the sweet spot, perfectly cool and planet-friendly too.
2. EVERY DROP COUNTS
Being mindful with water is simple during your stay. Remember this simple trick, hang your towels on the hook to reuse them or leave them on the floor if you'd like a fresh set. When it comes to bed linens, they are refreshed every other day, you can request more only if needed. Even your choice of bathing makes a difference, a quick shower can save up to 500 litres compared to a bath, and it's just as refreshing.
3. SIP SMART
Staying hydrated is a part of the holiday-mindset, and it can be sustainable too. Refill your water bottle at our stations, always fresh, cool, and free. You can also grab a reusable Atlantica bottle to take home as a little keepsake of your time with us.
4. FLIP THE SWITCH
Lights love naps, too. Before heading out to the beach, the pool or a night out, switch them off. It's a small action that makes a bright difference.
5. TOSS IT RIGHT
Recycling here is easy. Finished with a plastic bottle? Pop it in your room bin and our team will take care of the recycling. You'll also find recycling bins around the resort for bottles, paper, and cans. Every little choice helps keep our destinations green.
SEASIDE STAYS, SUSTAINABLY YOURS
Sustainability isn't about giving things up, it's about making simple choices that feel good. This World Tourism Day, we thank you for joining us in making every stay at Atlantica Hotels & Resorts part of a more sustainable future.
